Internships in Psychology

The interest in pursuing an internship of some sort has increased among Knox psychology students tremendously in the past five years. Students can receive academic credit for internships by signing up for Psychology 355 - Internship in Psychology. The course may be repeated twice for a maximum of one credit. Internships are usually done over the summer or during the winter break, but it is not uncommon for students to participate in a local internship during the school year. Under ordinary circumstances, the student identifies the site for an internship, and arrangements are made for the experience with the aid of a faculty member. A list of some of the recent internship sites that have accepted Knox psychology students follows at the bottom of this page.
