About the images:

A succulent feast preceding the evening's entertainment will include: chicken with apples, walnuts and raisins; garlic mashed potatoes; glazed carrots; relishes; wheat loaves; and carrot cake. Beverages include coffee, tea, apple cider and authentic wassail. Vegetarian turnover is also available.

Guests will dine and witness the merriment as students present a musical comedy, written by seniors Tim Ballard and Kim Pokin. The production depicts a renaissance court's struggle to marry the Prince and Princess of previously feuding kingdoms.

The production is directed by Laura Lane, chair of the music department at Knox College. Madrigal dinners are presented by the Chamber Singers, an a cappella choir at Knox that concentrates on music from the Classical and Renaissance periods

Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college, located in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,100 students from 42 states and 33 nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
