Knox College hosts College for Kids, June 14-25, 1999
Applications are now being accepted for the sixteenth annual College for Kids
Program held June 14-25 at Knox College, Galesburg, IL. This year, 25 courses
are being offered for students who have completed fourth through eighth grade.
College for Kids is a program that provides an opportunity for well motivated
students to enjoy a high level of intellectual stimulation in a college
setting. Classes are offered in art, science, literature, writing, history,
mathematics, foreign language and computers. Students attend three, one hour
long classes on weekday mornings from 8:40 to 12 noon.
A tuition fee of $105.00 must accompany the application. A limited number of
scholarships are available. For information or to request an application call

Early application is encouraged, as popular courses fill up quickly. The

Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college,
located in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,100 students from 42 states and 33
nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building
