Collage Exhibit Opens Jan. 8 at Knox College

An exhibit of works by Carol Baylor, "Strange Research: Collages and Boxes," will be displayed from Friday, Jan. 8 through Wednesday, Jan. 27 in the Gallery, Ford Center for the Fine Arts at Knox College. A free, public opening reception will be held 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8.

Baylor, who also has worked as a radio producer, librarian and political organizer, has exhibited her collages and boxes in the United States and Germany. She has written and produced radio programs on International Women's Day, women steelworkers in Pennsylvania and the peace movement in Germany. She lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Baylor is a graduate of the University of Texas-Austin.

Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college, located in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,100 students from 42 states and 33 nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
