There will be a presentation of student and faculty awards and a short choir recital. Convocation is free and open to the public, although seating is limited.
Wagner, who joined the Knox faculty in 1973, is a cultural anthropologist and scholar of religion and cultural change. He received his B.A. from Wichita State University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Indiana University.
Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college, located in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,100 students from 42 states and 33 nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
