Knox College Choir to Present
Home Tour Concert, March 6

The Knox College Choir will present its 1998 Home Tour Concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 6, at Kresge Recital Hall, Ford Center for Fine Arts, Knox College. The program will showcase the works that the choir performed in a recent series of concerts in the Chicago area. The concert is free and open to the public.

The 40-voice choir, directed by Laura Lane, associate professor of music, will perform Missa Brevis, by Mozart; Renaissance pieces by Byrd, Da Victoria and Stanford; contemporary American works by Daley, Hawley, Fissinger and Belmont; and an international montage of Haitian, Canadian and other traditional songs. The Knox Chamber Singers, an a cappella vocal group comprising 12 members of the choir, will perform madrigals and vocal jazz.

The Knox College Choir has given concert tours in Spain, France, England, and throughout the United States. It has performed with the Nova Singers and the Dale Warland Singers and has recorded a CD.
