The Umoja Community Gospel Choir presents its spring concert, "Pressing On," at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3, in Kresge Recital Hall, Ford Center of Fine Arts, at Knox College. The concert is free and open to the public.
The choir will sing traditional and contemporary gospel songs in a tribute to gospel music of the last four decades. The choir will perform a medley including works of James Cleveland, Shirley Caesar, Walter Hawkins, and the Thompson Community Singers.
Umoja Community Gospel Choir is directed by Jessie Dixon and
includes Knox students, faculty and members of the Galesburg community.
