on Exhibit through January 24

"Recent Work," an exhibit by Knox College faculty members Tony Gant, assistant professor of art, and Lynette Lombard, assistant professor of art, is on display through Friday, Jan. 24, in the Gallery, Ford Center for the Fine Arts on the Knox campus. A free, public opening reception is at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17.

The show consists of welded metal sculptures, collages, and mixed media relief assemblages by Gant, and paintings, prints and drawings by Lombard. Gant and Lombard have taught at Knox since 1990.

Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college, located in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,100 students from 42 states and 33 nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
