The Knox-Sandburg Community Concert Band will perform an eclectic fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, Harbach Theater of the Ford Center for the Fine Arts, Knox College. The concert is free and open to the public.
The sixty-member band will perform a wide range of music from contempory marches to Russian Christmas music and even some Mexican Dances. The Knox-Galesburg Community Concert Band is conducted by Dr. Scott Garlock, assistant professor of music.
Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college, located in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,100 students from 42 states and 33 nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
