Knox College President Roger Taylor announced forthcoming changes in leadership of the college's Office of Advancement this week. Taylor announced that Beverly Holmes, currently associate vice president for advancement, would fill the post of vice president for advancement, succeeding Brian Williams, who will leave Knox in April for a new position as the vice president for development at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
"Brian Williams has built an able, dedicated, and highly motivated staff at Knox, and his new position represents a well deserved endorsement of his ability and reputation," Taylor said. "Beverly Holmes has helped the Advancement office strengthen its ability to secure major gifts. She will be able to step right in and continue this positive direction."
Williams, a 1986 Knox graduate, began working for the College in 2000 as director of planned giving. Holmes, a graduate of Cornell University, came to Knox in 2001 as a special gifts officer.
Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 46 states and 43 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates. Related Links
