Student Production Based on Sendak Book: "Where the Wild Things Are"

Knox College Studio Theatre will present "Where the Wild Things Are," a play based on the children's book by Maurice Sendak, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, May 16-18, in Studio Theater, Ford Center for Fine Arts, Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. Admission is free.

Mary Morales, a senior majoring in theatre and music, adapted the story about a mischievous boy, who after being sent to his room, imagines it is a fantasy forest filled with whimsical characters. In addition to adapting and directing the play, she also scored and recorded original music for the production and designed the set, make-up and costumes.
