GALESBURG -- The Knox College chapters of Beta Theta Pi and Pi Beta Phi will be going door-to-door in Galesburg from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, collecting canned goods in support of "Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat." The food drive is sponsored by FISH, a social service agency.
Last year, the students collected more than 500 pounds of food. Donations are also being accepted through Oct. 31 at the Knox College Center for Teaching and Learning, 466 S. West Street
Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 48 states and 40 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
