GALESBURG -- Senior English literature majors at Knox College will present eight short research papers at a conference, "Island Stories: Domination and Identity in the Literatures of English Empire," at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Common Room, Old Main, Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. the conference is free and open to the public.
The presenters are Kelsey Keyes, Cynthia Barounis, David Michelson, Andrea Thompson, Adrienne Gardner, Jacqueline Wells, Shalini Krishan, and Allison Looney.
Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 48 states and 40 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
