Freelance writer and editor Michael O'Mary will perform three scenes from his comedy sketches at 4 p.m., Friday, May 24, in the lobby of Ford Center for the Fine Arts, Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. The reading is free and open to the public.
O'Mary's sketch comedy "Cubicles" was premiered in February at The Theatre Building in Chicago. O'Mary, who lives in Palatine, has worked in corporate communications at a utility company and studied at the Second City writing workshop in Chicago. At the performance, O'Mary also will announce the Davenport Playwriting Awards.
