GALESBURG -- Nike Makres of the College Year in Athens Program will give a talk, "Epigraphy in Greek Archaeology," at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the Round Room, Ford Center for the Fine Arts, at Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. The talk, which will cover the study of writing on ancient Greek stones as historical evidence, is free and open to the public.
College Year in Athens is one of 28 off-campus academic programs available at Knox.
Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 48 states and 40 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
