Knox College students will read their works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at the Galesburg Civic Art Center, 114 East Main St., Galesburg. The readings are selected from those published in the most recent issue of "Catch," Knox College's literary arts magazine. The reading is free and open to the public.
In addition to the readings, several student art works published in the magazine will be on display at the Civic Art Center, and copies of the magazine will be available for purchase.
This is the first time in the 34-year-history of Catch that the magazine will hold a publication reception outside of the Knox campus.
"We are excited to have this opportunity to showcase Knox's award winning literary arts magazine to the Galesburg community," said the magazine's advisor Monica Berlin, assistant professor of English at Knox.
Printed biannually, Catch has twice won the top award for college literary magazines. It publishes works by Knox students in the areas of fiction, non-fiction, art and music.
