Knox to Host Illinois EPA Info Session

Knox College in Galesburg will host a workshop for local government officials, presented by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, July 11.

The session is expected to as many as 100 elected officials and representatives from sanitary districts and water districts. Renee Cipriano, director of the Illinois EPA, and other representatives of the agency will provide information and answer questions on environmental issues.

Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 48 states and 40 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
