Yamada Works Featured in Show

Tetsuya Yamada

Works by Tetsuya Yamada, assistant professor of art, are among those featured in an exhibit, "The Chicago and Vicinity Show (With a Bias)," which will be held Nov. 30 though Jan. 5 at Klein Art Works, 400 N. Morgan Ave, Chicago. An opening reception will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at the gallery.

Klein Art Works selected Yamada and 12 other artists for the show, out of more than 300 who submitted works. According to the gallery, the exhibit celebrates the "Chicago and Vicinity" shows which were held for many years at the Art Institute of Chicago. Yamada joined the Knox faculty in 1998. He holds degrees from Tamagawa University in Japan and New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He has exibited his ceramic sculptures in the United States and Japan.
