"Dandelion Day was originally held at Knox in the early part of the 20th century, as a spring-time weed-pulling event," said Brian Gawor, Assistant Director of Residential Life and coordinator of the day's activities. "Last year, several students asked for volunteer opportunities and we're glad to help organize their efforts to benefit the campus and the community."

- Cleaning of areas around college residence halls
- Removal of waste from the Trevor field bleachers
- Helping the Galesburg Rescue Mission clean and sort clothing
- Assisting with leaves and gutters at Corpus Christi Church
- Helping two staff members at their homes
- Cleaning one of the maintenance shops
- Assisting the Off-Campus Study Office
- Cleaning at the Human Rights Center
