The Knox-Sandburg Community Concert Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Jay Hall, Ford Center for the Fine Arts, Knox College. The concert is free and open to the public.
The 40-member band, directed by Bob Clark, will perform marches, overtures, and jazz. Knox student Melissa Hueting will act as featured pianist for one selection.
The Knox-Sandburg Community Concert Band is open to community members and students from Knox College and Carl Sandburg College.
Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 47 states and 41 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
