The Knox College Board of Trustees has decided to begin a search for a permanent president of the College. The Board met on Friday, June 15, to discuss interim arrangements to fill the position, following President Richard Millman's announcement that he will resign effective September 1.
According to Roger Taylor, Chair of the College's Board of Trustees, the College also will appoint an interim president. "The College recognizes that it likely will be several months, even as long as a year, before we find someone and before that person will be able to start at Knox."
According to Taylor, a committee consisting of Trustees, faculty and students has begun meeting, and hopes to recommend an interim president by July 1, 2001.
