Poets to Give Reading, May 14

Poets Mark Drew and Yvonne Murphy will read from their own works at 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, in the Common Room, Old Main, Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. The reading is free and open to the public.

Drew, a 1990 Knox College graduate, is the poetry editor of literary journal Gettysburg Review.

Murphy, a 1989 Knox graduate, teaches literature and poetry at Empire State College, part of the State University of New York.

Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,220 students from 47 states and 41 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
