Two student plays will be performed at Knox College in October. The performances are free and open to the public.
"Haiku," by Katherine Snodgrass, will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6 and 7, in the Studio Theatre, Ford Center for Fine Arts, Knox College, Galesburg, IL. Directed by Knox student, Mary Morales, "Haiku" is a drama about a family dealing with illness and separation.
"Cowboy Mouth," by Sam Shepard, will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13 and 14, in the Studio Theatre, Ford Center for Fine Arts. It is directed by Knox student Amy Rieckelman. Co-written by Shepard and rock singer Patti Smith, "Cowboy Mouth," is about escape and the human struggle of moving on after childhood. The music is original, written specifically for this production by Knox student Nate Wiswall and performed by a five-piece band. The play contains adult language and situations.
