A Jesuit priest in Nicaragua, Mulligan has written and lectured extensively about Latin America, U.S. policy and Christian social commitment.

8 Friday, 4 p.m. Common Room, Old Main Lecture: "I'm Going to Be Somebody: The Life of George Fitch." Historian Martin Litvin will discuss I'm Going to Be Somebody, his book on the life of humorist George Fitch, who authored the popular "Siwash" stories.

Kellogg Concert: The Knox Galesburg Symphony, directed by Bruce Polay, assistant professor of music, will feature gifted young violinist Rachel Barton for the violin concerto No. 3 of Saint-Saens; also Mozart's Symphony No. 40. 14 Thursday, 4 p.m. Ferris, Seymour Union Panel Discussion: "Social Justice and the Liberal Arts." In honor of the retirement of Knox Professor Henry Houser, four members of the Knox faculty will conduct a panel discussion on education and justice in society.
