Knox College Alliance for Peaceful Action (APA) supports a tolerant and respectful world community that embraces all nationalities, religions, ethnic backgrounds, and cultures.  We believe in compassion towards others and peaceful resolution in an effort to value every human life.  We stand in solidarity against violence supported and perpetuated by any group or individual.

We are concerned about American foreign policy and the choices currently being made.  We feel it is necessary to learn from our past transgressions and strive toward a system of positive conflict resolution.

We condemn the creation and use of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons.

We feel it is vital to freedom that citizens are able to peacefully dissent.  In times of national crisis our civil liberties must be protected and remain uncompromised to ensure the continuing respect for the values on which our country is founded.
